William Shuman, MD
Medical Director and Vice Chairman of Radiology

Dr. Shuman was appointed the Medical Director of Radiology and Vice Chairman of the Department of Radiology at the University of Washington Medical Center in 2003. Previously, Dr. Shuman held a directorship in computed tomography, ultrasound and MR at the University of Vermont and a directorship of CT/MR/US and Medical Director of the Diagnostic Imaging department at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center. Dr. William Shuman received his medical degree from the State University of New York in Syracuse, N.Y., followed by residencies in general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and diagnostic radiology, as well as a two-year fellowship in ultrasound and computed tomography at the University of Washington.

Gene Hoefling
Administrative Director of Radiology

Gene Hoefling has served as the Administrative Director of Radiology at the University of Washington Medical Center since 2004. Previously, Mr. Hoefling worked at Evergreen Community Care, where he served as Administrative Director for a variety of hospital departments, including nursing units, the emergency department, endoscopy service, the urgent care center and renal lithotripsy. From 1990-1998, he also contributed as program administrator for the Evergreen Surgical Center. He received his undergraduate degree in Nursing Administration from Northern Michigan University in 1973 and attended the graduate program in Business at City University of Seattle. Hoefling has served as a member and past chairman of the NE King County EMS Council and as a member Washington State Central Region Trauma Council. He also has served on the Evergreen Surgical Center Medical Advisory Board.

Andy Strickland
Director of Imaging Informatics

Andy Strickland serves as Director of Imaging Informatics for the University of Washington department of Radiology. He served four years with the University of Washington IT department supporting financial systems as a Programmer/Analyst and Project Lead, and another four years with University of Washington Physicians Network as Director and CIO. Mr. Strickland has previously served in project management with Unisys, Project Lead on a development team for technical sales support with Frederick & Nelson, and Senior Consultant with Point B Solutions Group LLP.

SEATTLE CANCER CARE ALLIANCE:

Dean Hobson
Associate Director of Medical Imaging

Dean Hobson was appointed Associate Director of Medical Imaging at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in July 2009. Previously, Mr. Hobson served as a Manager, VP & CFO at Jake Rescue Systems, LLC, a System Support Analyst in the Nuclear Medicine department at the University of Colorado hospital, and Chief Technologist of Nuclear Cardiology at the St Luke Medical Center. Mr. Hobson is also a consultant for Molecular Imaging Services. Mr. Hobson earned his MBA in Health Administration and Pharmaceutical Management from the University of Colorado.

Howard G. Berger, MD
President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Berger co-founded RadNet in 1980 and serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Primedex Health Systems, Inc., RadNet’s parent company. Dr. Berger began his career in medicine at the University of Illinois Medical School. He is Board Certified in Nuclear Medicine and did his residency in internal medicine as well as a masters program in medical physics in the University of California system.

Steve Forthuber
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer - Eastern Operations

Steve Forthuber was named Senior Vice President, Field Operations of Radiologix in November 2005 after serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Radiologix, Inc. Mr. Forthuber has 23 years of healthcare experience, with 18 of those years exclusively dedicated to radiology practice management. Prior to joining Radiologix, Mr. Forthuber held various roles at PerSe Technologies' Physician Services Division. Mr. Forthuber earned a B.A. in Business Administration from The College of William and Mary in Virginia.

Peter Vandermeer, MD
Neuroradiologist, Advanced Radiology in Baltimore, Md

Dr. Vandermeer is a board certified Diagnostic Radiologist, with a special interest in neuroradiology, in the Baltimore division of Advanced Radiology. Dr. Vandermeer earned his medical degree from New York Medical College. He served his residency in the Diagnostic Radiology division and fellowship in the Neuroradiology and Informatics division at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

J.C. Biebuyck, MD
Staff Radiologist

Dr. Biebuyck currently serves as Director of CT Services and Staff Radiologist at Rutland Regional Medical Center.  Dr. Biebuyck earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his medical degree from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine.  He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and was a Radiology Resident with a focused 4th year fellowship in cross-sectional imaging at the Yale New Haven Hospital.  

Chris Notte
Manager of Diagnostic Imaging Information Systems

Chris Notte was appointed Manager of Diagnostic Imaging Information Systems at Rutland Regional Medical Center in January 2009.  Previously, Mr. Notte worked as a Practice Manager and Radiologic Technologist for Associates in Podiatry P.C., before joining GE Healthcare/IDX System Corporation to serve as a Management/Workflow Consultant, Installation Consultant, and Functional Expert.  Mr. Notte earned his Associate of Science degree in Radiography from Champlain College. 

Richard Lovett, MD
Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Lovett has served as the Director of Radiation Oncology at the Community Cancer Center of Rutland Regional Medical Center for over 19 years, is a member of the Board of Directors, and also serves as the President of Medical Staff and on various hospital committees.  Dr. Lovett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and serves as Co-chair of VTAAC “Vermonters Taking Action Against Cancer" – a U.S. Department of Health Initiative to develop a state wide cancer plan.  Dr. Lovett earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont.
